The Gibbs Brothers Account Book was used to record daily transactions from December 1854 through February 1855. The ledger is unbound and in very fragile condition. The book was donated to the Texas Room of the Estill Library, Sam Houston State Teachers College, by Dr. J.L. Clark on April 3, 1962. See also the Gibbs Family Papers.

The Gibbs Family Papers contain family correspondence and obituaries. The obituaries and funeral information concern Lu Ellen Gibbs and Edwin G.
